The concept of quality cannot be defined in the absence of values, claims the architect Adam Caruso. The decline of social values became visible in the art of the nineteenth century of Ruskin, Turner and others. Their works were an attempt to compensate the loss of certainties. Caruso shows that this principle is applicable to contemporary architecture and can thus retain its cultural relevance. Designers of the Future'Gardens of Experience' is part of the series Designers of the Future. This series is an initiative of the Wouter Mikmak Foundation in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture of the TU Delft and the Stylos study association. The Mikmak Foundation was set up in honour of the architect Wouter Mikmak to contribute to the debate on architecture and the development of the knowledge of architecture. With the series Designers of the Future the foundation hopes to contribute to the education and development of young architects.
