New European Architecture 09/10
also known as the A10 Yearbook 09/10
---
A10's third yearbook features a selection of 20 projects previously published in A10 magazine, ranging from an open-air altar in Brezje to holiday houses in the Carpathians, from the new library of the Technical University in Prague and a  a mixed-use complex in Sofia  to museums in Kalmar and Kotka.

Essays and interviews
This book opens with essays on the conversion of existing buildings, on architecture and conventions, and on the effects of the economic crisis. Moreover it contains two interviews, with Europan's secretary-general Didier Rebois on twenty years of Europan, and with Marija Bevk on Slovenian architecture today, five years after the launch of a generation of young Slovenian architects under the banner of Sixpack.

Much-publicized projects
The yearbook also includes a 'review of the reviews' of four much-publicized projects: The school of architecture in Nantes by Lacaton & Vassal, Santiago Calatrava's Liège train station, the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, designed by Delugan & Meissl and Igor Franic's Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb.

Hans Ibelings, architectural historian, is editor-in-chief of A10 new European architecture, and author of several books, including 'Landscapes of transition'.
