In ‘To construct, to compose’, Francesco Dal Co, Professor at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura of Venice, tackles the age-old problem of architectural composition. Using the example of the Villa Ottolenghi by the Italian architect Carlo Scarpa, he shows how the architectural composition is connected with the construction.
Designers of the Future
In 2006 Francesco Dal Co held the first lecture of a series of yearly lectures entitled 'Designers of the Future'. This series is an initiative of the Wouter Mikmak Foundation in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture of the TU Delft and the Stylos study association. The Mikmak Foundation was set up in honour of the architect Wouter Mikmak to contribute to the debate on architecture and the development of the knowledge of architecture. With the series Designers of the Future the foundation hopes to contribute to the education and development of young architects.
