Piet Sanders
Herinneringen (Memories)
---
Piet Sanders (Schiedam, 1912) is a collector of art, architectural models and African art, but also played in important role in Dutch society. After the War he was secretary of Queen Wilhelmina and with his background in arbitrage he was involved in negotiations with the Indonesian and later with the Moroccan government about their independency. He also founded the faculty of law at the Erasmus University and was chairman of nearly all the large Dutch companies. As a collector he donated more than 600 pieces to national museums in  the Netherlands and therefore enriched our public art collections.

In short, his life, nearly 100 years long is worthwhile to be described which he did himself. It gives a unique inside in the art world, political society and all the large companies. Hans van der Sloot edited the manuscript that is richly illustrated.

This book is only published in Dutch. Click on 'Nederlands' in the left corner of this page, to read the Dutch summary.
