Europan 10
Inventing Urbanity, Regeneration, Revitalisation, Colonisation
---
The tenth edition of Europan not only focuses on the nominees and winning plans of the tenth Dutch Europan competition, but is also a commemorative publication to celebrate twenty years of Europan and to offer a vision of the future. This special commemorative hardback edition is bound in linen covers with gold embossing.

184 plans (on CD)
The theme of the tenth competition, Inventing Urbanity, inspired (teams of) architects to come up with 184 plans for four selected locations in Emmen, The Hague, Maastricht and Utrecht. You can view all 184 entries for Europan 10 on the CD that comes with this book.

20 years of Europan
Looking back on twenty years of Europan in the Netherlands, the prize winners of the first editions explain what Europan has meant for them. The architect Madeleine Maaskant goes into the developments of the European city in the last few decades in more depth. Maurits Klaren presents his vision of the future of Europan, and the journalist Kaye Geipel examines the cultural, social and professional significance of Europan in an essay.

About Europan
Every two years some twenty European countries jointly organise Europan, an idea competition for architects below the age of 40 in the field of architecture, urban design and landscape. www.europan.nl
