Hiltrud Pötz, Pierre Bleuzé   Vorm geven aan stedelijk water Synergie van natuur, techniek en esthetiek --- 'Vorm geven aan stedelijk water' (Designing water in the city) focuses on the design of sustainable urban water concepts. The attractiveness of beautiful design is the way to get urban designers and principals to look further into sustainable possibilities. The examples in this book show that concepts can be implemented at no extra cost through the integration of design, natural functions and technology. In 1999 Hiltrud Pötz and Pierre Bleuzé wrote the successful book ‘Zichtbaar, tastbaar, zinvol’ (Visible, tangible, meaningful) on the integration of nature and technology in the design of water in the city. The book has been out of print for a long time: the moment is ripe for a new edition. More information The website www.water-in-zicht.nl is linked to this book. The site contains more information (in Dutch) about the water cycle in the city and designs for water, but above all it includes examples of integrated water concepts. Dutch edition This book is only published in Dutch. Click on 'Nederlands' in the left corner of this page, to read the Dutch summary. Author information Hiltrud Pötz and Pierre Bleuzé are both architects and water specialists working for the opMAAT firm for architecture, urban design, research and consultancy in Delft. |
